Driving Alternatives

If you are driving, you shouldn't drink. If you are drinking, you shouldn't drive. For most of us, driving is a part of everyday life. It can be difficult to find alternatives to driving when we go out to eat, to a party, or a sporting event where alcohol is served. If you can't find a designated driver, there are always these Atlanta alternatives.

  • There are a number of Bus or Rail options to get around the city. Check out the Public Transportation options available with Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. You'll save gas, parking fees, and an expensive DUI.
  • Rideshare companies like Lyft, or Uber are becoming more popular across the country, as an alternative to traditional cab companies.
  • Taxi companies are still reachable by phone and on the street, but they have also gotten in on the app game with Atlanta Checker Cab, to make hailing them easier than ever.
